Polit Bureau’s Call for Medicines for Iraq
With the invasion of Iraq by the American and British forces, there has been large scale casualties of the civilian population. Use of cluster bombs and indiscriminate attack by missiles have led to thousands of Iraqi civilians and soldiers being killed. Many more have been injured. A large number of those injured are women and children. Iraqi hospitals have no medical supplies to treat such a large number of people.
The Polit Bureau denounces the barbarous tactics of warfare which targets innocent people. While continuing with the anti-war mobilisations and exposure of the imperialist aims to occupy Iraq, the Polit Bureau calls upon all its units to collect medicines or money to buy them, for providing medicines to Iraqi people, injured in the war of aggression.
All Party units are requested to collect money from the people for this purpose.
