The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly condemns the remarks by Gen. (retd) V.K. Singh, minister of state for External Affairs comparing the burning alive of two Dalit children in Faridabad to stoning of a dog.

Retd. Gen. V K Singh has made many similar atrocious statements in the past as well showing that he is not fit to continue as a minister in the Union Cabinet under the oath to uphold and protect the Indian Constitution. The Prime Minister should immediately remove him from the Union Cabinet.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) demands that a case be registered against V K Singh under The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention Of Atrocities) Act immediately.
