On Irregular Allocation of Land in the Name of BJP Chief Venkaiah Naidu

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) demands a thorough enquiry into the allocation of 40.15 acres of land in the name of BJP Chief Venkaiah Naidu and his family members. These lands are situated in his native district, Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. It is reported that the `D' form pattas obtained by Venkaiah Naidu and his family members are issued as per the government rules, only to the really poor and downtrodden sections of society and not allotted to persons who own any piece of land in their own names. It is reported that the irregular allocations were obtained by misusing Venkaiah Naidu's position as an MLA at that time.

The Polit Bureau urges upon the Andhra Pradesh government for conducting an immediate enquiry into the whole affairs and for taking steps to cancel the irregular allocations.
