The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) met at New Delhi on October 9-10, 2021.  It has issued the following communique:

Lakhimpur Kheri Brutality

Ashish Misra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Misra Teni, the prime accused in the massacre of farmers has finally been arrested, after a Supreme Court indictment, five days later.

Sitaram to PM on Kashmir

CPI(M) General Secretary, Sitaram Yechury, has addressed a letter to the Prime Minister today calling for the release of the detained persons in Kashmir, lifting of the  clampdown on communications, restoration of the democratic process and honouring of the assurances made to the people at the time of the accession of the state to the Indian Union.

P.B. Communique

The Polit Bureau meeting discussed the ways and means for sustaining and advancing the peaceful protest movement against the CAA-NPR-NRC all over the country.  It called for the unity of all secular and democratic forces to carry forward the movement.

C C Communique

The Central Committee congratulated the LDF government in Kerala for the manner in which they could contain the dreaded Nipah virus from spreading. The efforts of the state government have earned accolades from international agencies including the World Health Organisation.
