The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), at its meeting being held in New Delhi, has issued the following statement:
The Central Committee of the CPI(M) greets the people of Ernakulam Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala and the Uttarpara Assembly constituency in West Bengal for electing the LDF-supported independent candidate and CPI(M) candidate of the Left Front respectively.
The Central Committee congratulates the LDF and Left Front cadres in these two constituencies for these election victories.
