A meeting of Left parties — the CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML), RSP & SUCI (C)  — was held today at State Centre of the CPI(M) .

The meeting has expressed deep concern at the communal tension in the Steel City Jamshedpur.

An incident related to law & order was deliberately communalized by the Viswa Hindu Parishad , Bajrang Dal and other communal outfits.

Bandh imposed on July 21, 2015 on the people of Jamshedpur by the Viswa Hindu Parishad and the vandalism indulged in by its activists has further worsened the situation. Proper preventive measures would have avoided the situation. The left parties have strongly condemned the attempts of the Sangh Parivar to communalise the situation. It has been demanded that exemplary actions be taken against the miscreants and communal harmony be maintained immediately. It has been decided that a team of left parties will visit Jamshedpur and hold meeting with leaders of all the left parties there and meet the affected people on July 26, 2015. Meeting of left parties will be held at State Capital Ranchi to decide further course of action.

The left parties have called on the people to be alert against anti-social & communal elements and maintain communal harmony.

G.K.Baksi, State Secretary, Prakash Viplav, R.C.Thakur & Samir Dass of CPI(M), Janardan Prasad State Secretary of CPI(ML), Radhakant Jha State Secretary of RSP, Rabin Samajpati State Secretary of SUCI(C) & Iftekhar Mehmood, Mahendar Pathak & Ajay Kumar  Singh (CPI) were present in the meeting.
